Villgro, formerly Rural Innovations Network, is focused on innovations with social impact on low-income markets (the “base of the pyramid”) in India, and has seven years’ experience in enabling such innovations to reach rural markets, both through our technology, business incubation programme, L-RAMP, and through a dedicated retail chain for innovative products. Recognizing the need to create and share research outputs based on our acquired knowledge, our knowledge management programme was created in February of 2008. We are collaborating with the Indian Institute of Technology – Madras on both the L-RAMP programme, and to offer a suite of courses on social entrepreneurship and innovation to both students and professionals from 2009 onwards.
